University CAD Standards & Procedures
This section sets out the CAD Standards & Procedures to be adopted for all University drawings from inception to archive.
The documents are primarily aimed at users of AutoCAD, although the methods of working are common to all CAD users producing drawing files for the University, with the aim of ensuring a uniform appearance and to reflect a high quality of workmanship for electronic drawing files.

Drawing Production
The University of Manchester AutoCAD drawing templates can be downloaded here.
These form an integral part of the standards.
The templates contain layers, text styles, dimension styles, linetypes and drawing sheets.
Layer Convention
The layering convention outlined here is to be used on all projects undertaken by the University.
